About Alicia
Violist Alicia Marie Valoti joined the faculty of the Department of Music at Central Michigan University in 2016, where she is Associate Professor of Viola and Graduate (degree programs) Coordinator. She holds an undergraduate degree in viola performance from McGill University in Montréal, Canada, the Master of Music degree and Performance Diploma in viola and chamber music from the Conservatory of Florence “Luigi Cherubini”, and the AMusD in viola performance from Stony Brook University, New York. Dr. Valoti has performed and taught for international music festivals in Asia, Europe, North and South America and South Africa.
