From southwestern Michigan, Illinois and western Indiana
Take I-94 North to I-196 North
Take I-196 North to Exit 36 (Saugatuck/Douglas)

From eastern Michigan and Canada
Take I-69 across the state to the northern part of Lansing until the exit for I-96
Take I-96 over to the northern part of Grand Rapids until the exit for I-196 South/West
Take I-196 South/West until Exit 41 (Saugatuck)

From southeastern Michigan, Ohio and eastern Indiana
Take Highway 75, 23, 127, or 69 up to I-94 West
Follow I-94 West through Jackson, Battle Creek, and Kalamazoo to 131 North
Take 131 North to 89 North/West through Otsego, Allegan, and Fennville to I-196 North
