Young Listeners Concerts
July 7 and August 11, 2011
This summer will find two Young Listeners Concerts sponsored by the Chamber Music Festival of Saugatuck to be held in the bright, comfortable Lobby of the Saugatuck Center for the Arts, 400 Culver Street in Saugatuck. The first will be held on Thursday, July 7 at 12:30 pm. This program will feature Bradley Wong, clarinet, Paul Austin, french horn, and Wendy Rose, bassoon. These CMFS musicians will explore the varied sounds of their wind instruments individually and in combinations. The second program will be held on Thursday, August 11 at 1:00 pm. The Perugino Quartet is the faculty quartet of Grand Valley University and annual performers at the Chamber Music Festival. Attendance at both programs will give young listeners the opportunity to hear the difference between these families of instruments. Admission is free but a phone call to either 269-857-2399 (SCA) or 269-857-1424 (CMFS) is appreciated.
