Trio Terzetto
Newly formed Terzetto is a piano trio of three dynamic musical personalities, each with a unique career. Prior to their first concerts as an ensemble, their individual musical lives intersected for many years at festivals including the Marlboro Music Festival, Yellow Barn, and Sarasota, as well as at the Cleveland Institute of Music. Collectively, the members of Terzetto have performed worldwide as soloists, chamber musicians and orchestral players. They have played in the most prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, Vienna’s Musikverein, Weill Recital Hall, Severance Hall and the Seoul Arts Center. As soloists, they have appeared with the orchestras of Milwaukee, Rochester, Aspen, Charleston and Jerusalem; they have played in the Cleveland Orchestra, New York Philharmonic and Orpheus Chamber Orchestras, and have performed chamber music in festivals all over the world.
DIANA COHEN
Praised for her “incredible flair, maturity and insight,” violinist Diana Cohen was appointed concertmaster of the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra in September 2007. Diana performs and records regularly in concerts in New York and across the globe with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, the Knights Chamber Orchestra, the International Sejong Soloists and as a substitute with the New York Philhormonic. As a chamber musician, Diana has performed at festivals including Marlboro, Ravinia, Giverny, Taos, Aspen, Maui, Martha’s Vineyard, Fontana, Piccolo Spoleto, Sarasota, and the Perlman Chamber Music Festival.
TANYA ELL
Cellist Tanya Ell has proven her impressive musical range and abilities as soloist and chamber musician across Europe, North and Central America. Currently the youngest cellist in the Cleveland Orchestra, Tanya has performed with such notable musicians as Edgar Meyer, the Juilliard and Miro Quartets. She has appeared as soloist with the Aspen Festival orchestra and the Milwaukee Symphony, where she was Acting Assistant Prinicpal from 2003 to 2006. A child of two musicians, Tanya began her studies with Louis Potter Jr. in her native Michigan. Among her mentors are Yo-Yo Ma, Janos Starker, Lynn Harrell, Richard Goode, and Robert Mann.
RENANA GUTMAN
Pianist Renana Gutman has performed across three continents with orchestras including the Jerusalem Symphony, Belgian “i Fiammminghi” and the Mannes Community Orchestra. As a passionate chamber musician, she has been featured at the Marlboro and Yellow Barn festivals, collaborating with members of the Guraneri, and Mendelssohn Quartets, pianists Richard Goode and Mitusko Uchida and soprano Susan Naruki. Currently an assistant professor at London’s prestigious Menuhin School, Renana has garnered prizes at the Los Angeles Liszt Competition, and the New York Keyboard Festival and has been a longtime recipient of the American Israeli Cultural Foundation.
