She currently teaches as an adjunct professor at Grand Valley State University, MI. Born and raised in Germany, Sandra studied voice with Wolfgang Holzmair, Austria, Prof. Patricia Stiles at Bloomington IU, Prof. Tracy Watson, at Roosevelt University, Chicago and Nicholas Loren, Holland.

Sandra Maytan was a featured soloist at the Kronberg Summer Festival, Germany, and the Allegro Vivo Summer Festival in Austria and has appeared as a soloist and recitalist in Germany, Luxembourg, Austria, Sweden, England and the United States.
