Leanne King MacDonald · viola

Ms. Macdonald is a violist with Grand Rapids Symphony and Principal Viola in the West Michigan Symphony in Muskegon. She earned both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in music, in viola performance, from Western Michigan University and Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Her instructors include Masao Kawasaki, Catharine Carroll, Igor Fedotov, Burton Kaplan, and Robert Swan. As a soloist she has appeared with the West Michigan Symphony (formerly West Shore Symphony), at the GRAM with Shiau-uen Ding, piano, “Solos to Sip to” a special event of pairing wines with music at The Reserve in downtown Grand Rapids, and at Art Downtown Grand Rapids.
