Jack Unzicker · double bass

Double bassist Jack Unzicker is an artist and educator from Juneau, Alaska.  Currently residing in Arlington, Texas, he is an Assistant Professor of Double Bass at the University of Texas at Arlington, the principal bassist of the Dallas Chamber Symphony and Plano Symphony Orchestra, and performs regularly with the Dallas Symphony, Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, and Dallas Opera.

Unzicker received his Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music degrees from the University of North Texas and his Bachelor of Music degree from Western Washington University. He performs on a double bass by Albert Jakstadt and a bow by Reid Hudson.
