Burdick-Thorne String Quartet

Members of the Burdick-Thorne String Quartet include Julia Neckermann and Lisa A. Williams, violins, Grace Byrd, viola, and David Peshlakai, cello. In addition to numerous string quartet performances, community service programs, and extensive educational work, all members also serve as Artists-in-Residence with the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra. The Quartet has performed to great acclaim throughout Michigan, including recitals in Muskegon, Grand Rapids, Holland, and repeat engagements on Mackinac Island. Their extensive repertoire not only includes standards from the quartet and quintet repertoire, but also new music by contemporary composers – including music of notable American composer Eric Ewazen.
