 Adam Liebert · violin
As a member of the Grand Rapids Symphony, Adam Liebert has performed in the violin section since 2002. This season he was also named Assistant Principal First Violin of the West Michigan Symphony and has served as concertmaster for the Arcato Chamber Ensemble, New Millennium Orchestra, and Broadway Theater Guild. Adam enjoys teaching privately at the University of Chicago and collaborates occasionally in chamber ensembles such as International Chamber Artists, Anaphora, and Dal Niente in the Chicago area. After earning his Bachelor of Music from Western Michigan University, he spent two years at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe, Germany. During this time, he had the great opportunity to perform as a member of the Philharmonie der Nationen all over Europe, Japan, China, Russia, and the Ukraine. He was also on hand for several CD productions by the Heidelberger Symphoniker on the Hänsler Label. Adam has attended music festivals in Brazil, Ohio, Florida, Colorado, Maryland, and Northern Michigan. His teachers include Renata Knific, Ulf Hoelscher, Paul Kantor, Shmuel Ashkenasi and Blair Milton.
